OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
The Technology Support Specialist maintains day-to-day school technology operations. The Technology Support Specialist must be able to work independently and be a team player, while performing work of a highly technical and specific nature, and be flexible to meet the needs of the district.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain staff and student devices, both hardware and software, through the utilization of the MDM (JAMF).
- Work with technology integrators to provide seamless integration of software.
- Evaluate all hardware and/or software issues and take or recommend appropriate corrective action.
- Respond and document issues/requests through the tech ticketing system.
- Setup, troubleshoot, and maintain AV equipment for classrooms and staff events.
- Provide copier and printer support.
- Maintain hardware inventories.
- Consult with the Director of Educational Technology in budget development.
- Attend related training seminars and actively participate in professional associations.
- Maintain effective relationships with employees, service providers, vendors and others.
- Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS and LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills.
- Demonstrated familiarity with multiple platforms.
- Strong Apple (MacBooks/iPads) background.
- Familiarity with JAMF, Google Admin, Powerschool, and ticketing systems.
