Long Term Substitute Speech and Language Therapist

Brunswick’s Special Education Department looking for long term substitute Speech Therapist. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, creative individual to join our current team short term. This position will be located at Brunswick Junior High. A successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a high degree of self-motivation, an independent work ethic, an ability to build positive relationships with families, and a willingness to collaborate with special educators, regular educators, service providers, and administrators as appropriate.
Successful candidates will be able to:
- Provide consultation, direct service, and modeling both in and out of regular and special education classrooms to develop a total language/communication environment;
- Participate in Department screening processes as appropriate;
- Collaborate with special and regular educators in the development, implementation, and coordination of services;
- Complete special education documentation in accordance with Department expectations, as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Maine Speech/Language Pathologist Certification and Licensure
- Valid Maine Criminal History Records Check
